Wild Horse Creek Horse Competition

Enjoy my photos of the horses!

Paulding County Saddle Club: http://pc-sc.netΒ

One Saturday recently, I was driving to meet a friend for lunch. It was very early when I left my house. I figured I would just spend the time in the stores looking for something I really didn’t need to add to a closet of over stuffed day wear.

Luckily I had my trusty camera with me when I saw a sign by in Powder Springs. There was a horse competition going on right now, right there.

I have always loved horses since my very young days growing up in New Jersey. There was only one horse in the area of my hometown of Bergenfield. It was a beautiful horse that lived down the block and around the corner all the way into New Milford.

There was a law on the books in the Bergen County area that said no horses allowed. I don’t know the details of the law but the one and only horse in the areaΒ  was grandfathered in to live in the community because he or she was there before the lawβ€”oh excuse me the stupid law.

I’ve been told by some that that horse lived there a very long time but thinking that the owners would replace that horse with another one when that one went on to horse heaven.Β

I turned in to see the horses do their show. How much fun it was to see these horses and their owners show off their stuff.

The day was sunny but cold, a bit too windy for the horses and for me. I walked around making friends with these tall, strong animals.

There are photos of some cute loving puppies that were at the show. They are up for ownership to someone who loves dogs.

Enjoy my photos of the horses! Try to guess which horse or horses I want to own someday.

One more nice thing to consider is that the competition was free to visitors. Nice to take the kids and see the horses. The horse men and women were very friendly and loved having their horse’s picture taken.
