I completely disagree with the review below. I have done the research and Fireside does have lowest rate. They have a $.56 per therm fixed rate and also thought that their customer service reps were very knowledgeable and helpful. It looks like they are locally owned and operated. I like to support our local companies.

This company may have the lowest prices on Natural gas, but is also the worst in customer service; you really get what you pay for in this case.
Have you ever gone to a retail shop where you ask the clerk if they have any more of a certain product and the immediate response from the clerk is “if it’s not on the shelve then we do not have anymore “before you had time to tell them what product you’re looking for ?
Well if this response annoys you! DO NOT go with FIRESIDE Natural Gas!
You will get sorry that’s just the way we do things here; in a monotone voice knowing that they are not very sorry they just do not give a …..

I am a small business owner and believe in utilizing small or local businesses. I received and submitted my application for Fireside on Friday. I had Fireside cancel my application the following Thursday after the following:
1) I received the application via email with absolutely no salutations, welcoming, or wording - it was simply an email with an attachment;
2) I called customer service on Monday to verify receipt and status of application - I was told that Fireside was busy on Friday so the application process would take an additional 24 hours. The website stated that it could take 3-4 business days so I was aware of the timeframe;
3) On Thursday I still had not received any form of correspondence or contact from Fireside, so I called - I was asked to supply different references from the telephone, electric, and leasing companies that I had given.
When I submitted my application the average therm offered was 51.9 cents. Having been delayed by Fireside, the average therm had increased to 60.1 cents. Now I have to pay a higher therm because of Fireside's lack of 1) courtesy; 2) customer service; and 3) ineptness.
I went to another local company and received courtesy, customer service, and gas within two days using the same information given to Fireside.
