I walked into their shop a few days ago. A lone barber was cutting a man's hair. I stood there for a moment and he never did more than quickly glance up at me - did not greet me or tell me to have a seat and that someone would be with me in a minute. I asked if they took walk-ins, and he quickly said yes, so I sat down. I could hear several women talking/laughing in the back. No one came up front even though the door had a bell on it. After sitting there for over 10 minutes, the barber made no attempt to tell any of the women in the back a customer was waiting up front, nor did he tell me to even just hold on a few minutes more. I got up and walked out - he made no attempt to stop me. Now, this is a black owned business and I'm white. I would like to think my skin color had nothing to do with it, but I sure was made to feel very unwelcome and unwanted there. I went down the street and was greeted well by another business who acted like they wanted my money. Can you guess where I'll go again? It won't be THIS place, I can assure you!
