Brandon Reed will transfer after he graduates at the end of the summer term.
Georgia Tech junior guard and Powder Springs native, Brandon Reed, plans to transfer to another school to complete his eligibility, Coach Brian Gregory told the Associate Press. Gregory said Friday that Reed will transfer after he graduates at the end of the summer term. Reed, a strong 3-point shooter, started Georgia Tech's first 15 basketball games and averaged 5.2 points for the season. He lost playing time when freshman Chris Bolden, another strong shooter, moved into Gregory's starting lineup. Gregory says Reed has been "an integral part of this team over the last two years" after transferring to Georgia Tech from Arkansas State. Reed started 43 games in two seasons and averaged 6.4 points.

Happ described the line drive that hit him in the head during his team’s May 7 game against Tampa Bay. The impact left him with a skull fracture and a knee that was tweaked as he fell to the ground. Happ’s injury has brought attention to other pitchers who have sustained similar injuries in the past. Major league pitcher Bryce Florie was struck in the right eye by a line drive more than a decade ago. According to Paul Newberry of the Associated Press, Florie would pitch only seven more games after that …
