Marietta Driver Seriously Injured in Crash
The 53-year-old man was taken to WellStar Kennestone Hospital with serious injuries following the crash Wednesday.
The Cobb County Police Department has identified five people involved in a major crash that caused heavy traffic delays Wednesday at the intersection of Cobb Parkway and McCollum Parkway. According to the department's preliminary findings, a blue 2006 Toyota Corolla was southbound on Cobb Parkway at the same time a green 2011 Volvo Tractor-Trailer was westbound on McCollum Parkway. The Volvo struck the Toyota on the driver’s side. The impact caused the Toyota to collide with three other vehicles that were stopped in the northbound lanes of Cobb Parkway, said Officer Mike Bowman, the spokesman for the Cobb County Police Department.
