The Hillgrove Hawks saw a 10-point second-half lead dwindle to naught before a late surge gave them a 43-40 win over Alexander in their opening game of the Lake City Classic at Allatoona High School Tuesday. Hillgrove's girls used an overpowering full-court press and a versatile offensive attack to knock off North Clayton 75-41 in the first game of the Lake City Classic at Allatoona High School Tuesday. The Hawks overcame the sluggishness of a 10 a.m. start time to extend their season-opening winning streak to eight games. The full-court press created havoc for North Clayton, which turned the ball over 37 times.
