Two Sites to Accept Christmas Trees for Recycling

Wondering what to do with that tree? Bring One for the Chipper may be your answer.

As part of a statewide effort to recycle Christmas trees for use as mulch on playgrounds and in beautification projects, Bring One for the Chipper, Keep Georgia Beautiful's annual Christmas tree recycling program, will be coming to Powder Springs in a few days. Keep Cobb Beautiful is set to operate in the city on Saturday, Jan. 8, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at its Christmas tree recycling collection point in Lost Mountain Park. While supplies last, volunteers will hand out seedlings as a token of appreciation. An affiliate of Keep Georgia Beautiful, Home Depot in Powder Springs, also is set to accept Christmas trees for recycling Saturday, Jan. 8, from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m.
