Should Phone Use While Driving Be Banned?

Proposed changes to state laws could one day have drivers putting down their cell phones while they are on the road. Several Georgia lawmakers are attempting to pass a bill that would ban the use of cell phones while driving. House Bill 31, if enacted, would make it against the law to use a “hand-held mobile telephone” while operating a motor vehicle in Georgia. However, the changes the approved bill would make to state laws would still allow for the use of hands-free devices while driving. There are already laws against texting while driving. State Rep. This is Smyrna patch. Most major roads have bike trails in Smyrna. Smyrna allows bicycles on the bike trails, even if they look like sidewalks in some cases.   more ›
