Lost Mountain Park is one of several Cobb locations accepting the trees through Jan. 7.
Cobb residents are encouraged to help the environment by recycling their Christmas trees, which are used for mulch, fuel, wildlife habitats and other useful material. Keep Cobb Beautiful is sponsoring the free recycling drop-offs. Trees are being accepted through Saturday, Jan. 7, at select Home Depot locations throughout Cobb, including the one in Powder Springs. These Cobb Parks and Recreation locations will also accept drop-offs through Jan. 7: Cobb Parks chipper locations and Davey Trees will have free mulch available to residents after Jan. 7.
