Powder Springs Police detectives have charged two men in connection with the Feb. 7 robbery at Zaxby’s on Brownsville Road. The initial report detailed that a white man entered the business as it opened and demanded cash from the employee. That man then fled on foot toward the parking lot behind the business where he got into a waiting vehicle and fled the scene. According to a news release Friday, 46-year-old Stanley Ray Chastain and 40-year-old Scott Ray Chastain, both of Douglasville, have been charged with robbery in connection with the incident. Powder Springs police caught two burglars this week—one arrested afterward, the other in the act. On Monday, a woman called police after she saw someone walk behind a neighboring house on Ten Oaks Circle, and return with a weed eater and extension cord. Witnesses helped police discover that a 13-year-old boy from the neighborhood was the culprit, according to a news release from the department.
