Readers' Choice: Outstanding Outdoor Dining

Check one of the options in the West Cobb poll, then click the link to review the restaurant and rate it.

It's beautiful outside—so much so that a restaurant's outdoor dining options could be a deciding factor on whether you eat there. Each week, West Cobb Patch asks you to vote on the Readers' Choice for your favorite place to go for a particular product or service. This week, we're asking for your pick on where to eat outside: We can't add anyone to this poll, but if your favorite is missing, tell us in the comments below so we'll know for next time. Voting in the poll is open until 9 a.m. Friday. We will announce the winner around noon that day. The winner will be based equally on the poll results and positive reviews and ratings in the West Cobb Patch directory. So after you vote in the poll, be sure to click on the name of the office …

Readers' Choices for Sporting Goods

Bike shops, hunting stores and a spot for endurance sports prove the most popular in Cobb, Cherokee, Bartow, Douglas and Paulding counties.

We tried more of a regional approach with Readers’ Choice this past week as we asked you to pick your favorite store for sporting goods. Here are the winners from Cherokee, Cobb, Bartow, Paulding and Douglas counties: Readers’ Choice reloads at 5 a.m. Monday when we ask you to pick your favorite spot for outdoor dining.

Readers Choose PTS Sports

Patch users in western Cobb County and eastern Paulding County go the distance for this seller of endurance sporting goods.

Endurance sports specialty store PTS Sports in downtown Acworth outlasted all comers this past week when we asked Patch users in Kennesaw, Acworth, West Cobb and Dallas-Hiram to pick their favorite place to buy sporting goods. The contest was close, however, as people showed some love for local outlets of two big chains, Dick's Sporting Goods in Kennesaw and The Sports Authority in Hiram. Congratulations to PTS Sports. Our next Readers' Choice contest will ask you for your favorite local restaurant when you want to dine outside. The voting in West Cobb Patch will be open from 5 a.m. Monday to 9 a.m. Friday.

Readers' Choice: Sporting Goods Stores

Tell us where you go in Acworth, Kennesaw, Powder Springs, Dallas, Hiram and surrounding areas in Cobb and Paulding counties to get ready for whatever games you play.

If you watched 300-yard drives flying around Augusta National during The Masters this weekend, you know that the right equipment is crucial to getting the most out of your talent in golf and many other sports. This week's Readers' Choice survey builds on that lesson and asks a simple question: Where is your favorite store to buy sporting goods? To make the game a little more fun, we're going to pick one winner for Acworth Patch, Kennesaw Patch, West Cobb Patch and Dallas-Hiram Patch combined, so you're voting not only for your favorite store, but also for town pride. The choices: We can't add any stores to this poll, but if your favorite is missing, tell us in the comments below so we'll know for next time. You have until 9 a.m. Friday to …

Readers' Choices for Tax Prep

If your own Patch didn't pick a winner, check out the popular businesses nearby.

It appears that many of you are less than passionate about who does your taxes. Most of the Readers' Choice surveys in Patches north and west of Atlanta got few votes; four of them got no votes at all. Here are the results for Patches in Cobb, Cherokee, Bartow, Paulding and Douglas counties: We'll be back Monday at 5 a.m. with what we hope will be a more interesting Readers' Choice topic: your favorite place to buy sporting goods.

Readers' Choice: Preferred Tax Pro

Check one of the options in the West Cobb poll, then click the link to review the office and rate it.

As the saying goes, you shouldn't hate the messenger because of the message. So continuing with that logic, you shouldn't hate your tax professional because of taxes. Each week, West Cobb Patch asks you to vote on the Readers' Choice for your favorite place to go for a particular product or service. This week, we're asking for your pick on where to get your taxes done: We can't add anyone to this poll, but if your favorite is missing, tell us in the comments below so we'll know for next time. Voting in the poll is open until 9 a.m. Friday. We will announce the winner around noon that day.
