Vaughn: Officials ‘Encouraged’ by Signs of Economic Activity

Powder Springs Mayor Pat Vaughn last month gave her annual “State of the City” address, which covered several highlights of the past year as well as project completions and events expected to occur later this year.

This year, we have had 24 new housing starts, whereas last year, we only had zero. “So that is a very, very good sign, and we are quite pleased with that.” Twenty-one new businesses …

Powder Springs Mayor Reflects on Past, Looks Forward During State of City

Pat Vaughn gave her annual speech to more than 100 people at the Coach Ford Center Monday.

Powder Springs Mayor Pat Vaughn discussed what’s happened in the last year, as well as what’s coming up for the city—road and facility improvements, a new park, and new fees and rates—during her 2012 State of the City address.
