3 McEachern Wrestlers Alive at County Championships
With no way to upend first-place Pope for a team victory, three Indians look for individual titles at the U.S. Army Cobb County Invitational.
Three McEachern High wrestlers still have a crack at individual titles in the U.S. Army Cobb County Invitational at Sprayberry High School, but earning the team trophy is virtually out of reach for the Indians. Three-time defending champion Pope has 104 points and 11 semifinalists. Following Friday’s two rounds, McEachern (39.5 points) sits in ninth place in the 17-team field. Kell (58), Harrison (52), Marietta (51.5) and Kennesaw Mountain round out the top five behind Pope. Still in championship contention for McEachern are Jordano Figueroa (130), Joey Visockis (160) and Jonathan Hill (171).
